How reliable is this forecast?

A ranking model uses recent results, team strength and non-classification frequency. It simulates the entire field, with shared team effects. Assumes full points, the published calendar and the latest field; future weather, upgrades and penalties are not predicted.

Forward-only check: 14 GP. Actual next-race points fell inside the nominal 80% interval in 94.8% of driver results. Median absolute-error average: 3.2 p. Results from one race are correlated. This is not validation of title probabilities or full-season intervals.

An 80% interval describes modelled outcome variation. More simulations reduce sampling noise, not incorrect assumptions. Mathematical limits do not imply that every intervening integer is achievable.
